A multi-county grand jury is recommending the district attorney for Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties be removed after being accused of oppression and corruption of office.

The nine page report against Allan Grubb alleges him of neglect of duty and sexual misconduct.

Grubb's attorney, Robert Gifford, says the claims are false.

District 23 district attorney Allan Grubb lost his bid for reelection last month.

He is only serving one term but a civil grand jury is wanting him to be removed now.

"He was not one of them," Gifford said. "He was not part of the 'good ole boys club'. He did what he thought was right."

The report filed Thursday accuses Grubb of giving false or misleading information to victims.

It also states Grubb made sexual passes to employees at a local child advocacy group.

"The accusations are either false, misconstrued or there is more to the story that needs to be told," Gifford said. "I am thankful we have a jury system in this country that does that."

Documents say Grubb also told employees there was no money to be made in prosecuting child abuse cases.

There are also reports Grubb used a device to search his employees cellphone when he thought they were acting unfavorably towards him.

Earlier this year, Grubb was investigated for money issues within his office.

"He has not be removed from office," Gifford said. "There is a procedure in which the judge can do an early suspension, but as of now that has not occurred."

Gifford says his client is innocent and wants his name cleared.

"Grubb is doing as good as can be expected," Gifford said. "He is shocked and stressed but he is fighting. He is standing up for what is right."

If a judge decides to remove Grubb from office before his term us up, Governor Kevin Stitt is responsible for appointing a new district attorney.
